Doug Wells

Doug Wells has been the publisher of the Williams-Grand Canyon News since 1978. First as owner of the newspaper, then as a member of the Western News & Info team, upon Western's purchases of the publication in 1991. Wells also oversees the publications of two very successful visitor publications — the Williams and Grand Canyon Tourist guides. Born and raised in northern Arizona, Wells enjoys the abundance of outdoor opportunities available and often backpacks into the Grand Canyon. He has served on many civic boards and commissions.

He resides with his wife and three children in Williams. Wells attended Northern Arizona University and graduated with honors in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in business.
