Michael E. Quinn is president of River City Newspapers of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He is also publisher of the company’s publications, including the daily Today’s News-Herald, the weekly Parker Pioneer in Parker, Arizona, the Havasu Home Hunter, the River Extra shopper and Today’s News-Herald’s internet site, http://www.havasunews.com

Quinn has an extensive background in newspapers and publishing. Before Lake Havasu City, he held management positions with newspapers in suburban New Orleans, Louisiana, Sierra Vista, Arizona, and two newspapers in Southern California. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona.

He and his wife, Elaine, have three children attending Lake Havasu City schools.


STEVE STEVENS
Advertising Director

Steve Stevens is Advertising and Marketing Director of River City Newspapers, including Today's News-Herald, Parker Pioneer, River Extra, Havasu Home Hunter and the Today's News-Herald online website. Steve has been in Lake Havasu City since 1996, and in newspaper advertising for 31 years.

Past markets include Junction City, Kansas and Pleasanton, California. Current member and past president of Rotary club. Married to Debra, six children, four grandchildren. Outside interests include boating on beautiful Lake Havasu from March to October, and computers.


SANDY LOGALBO
Business Manager

A Texas native, she grew up in Tucson, moved to Tennessee and, in 1985, returned to Arizona with a move to Lake Havasu city. She began work with the newspaper in 1987 and took over her current position in 2002.

 

 


KELLY PARKS
Production Manager

Kelly Parks is production manager for River City Newspapers, overseeing ad graphics work and the flow of print products, including the daily newspaper, Today's News-Herald. Kelly brings more than 20 years of graphic arts experience to the position. She came to Lake Havasu City with husband, Randy, about four years ago and became creative director of a local lifestyle magazine. Most of her career was spent in Oregon, where she was operations director for a commercial printing and marketing company.

 


JIM ABDON
Circuation Manager

Originally from California, he signed on with the newspapers in the early 1990s and headed the newspapers' distribution since the formation of the existing company in 1995.

 

 


BECKY MAXEDON
Managing Editor

Today's News-Herald welcomes managing editor Becky Maxedon. Becky brings with her from Colorado Springs, Colo., more than 30 years journalism experience. Most recently, she served as managing editor of the Grand Junction Free Press in Grand Junction, Colo. No stranger to Arizona, Becky was an editor for the Independent Newspaper group in the Phoenix area from 1998 through 2000. She then moved to Las Vegas, where she was managing editor for the View Neighborhood Newspapers, a division of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. A mother of two grown sons, she also is the grandmother of two, Jager and Joplyn, of Las Vegas.


CHRIS WALKER
Human Resources Manager

Chris Walker began her duties as Human Resource Managing at Today's News-Herald April 30. Chris comes to the paper from Phoenix and brings with her more than 25 years of H.R. and payroll experience. Most recently, she served as human resource/payroll director of the largest landscaping company in Arizona with more than $60 million in revenue and 650 employees. She was employee of the year in 2005 and executive employee of the year in 2006. Chris has a knack of being able to communicate with employee sand make them comfortable in their employment with a company. Most of Chris' experience comes from working in Southern California where she was H.R. support for a large automotive group. Chris brings with her a wealth of experience. He addition to RCN makes it possible to move forward to the next level of employee relations. "We are fortunate to have Chris on board" said president and publisher Mike Quinn. When not at work, Chris can be found out on the lake with her dog, Cody. Her No. 1 love is the outdoors. Chris is enthusiastic about her new position with River City Newspapers and looks forward to being able to support the staff.
